The National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) has announced that its 2009 Patient Safety Awareness Week will take place from March 8 through March 14. The NPSF sponsors this annual event as a means of raising awareness about any patient safety campaigns taking place within hospitals and healthcare organizations around the country. The NPSF suggests educational activities be planned around involving patients more with their own care, as well as how to build partnerships among hospitals in the community.
